Should I cut off the corn on my foot?
If corns and calluses are causing foot pain, you need to get proper treatment. To get rid of this dead skin on your foot you need to first soften your feet in water. This is a very important step that should not be skipped or you might end up doing more damage to your feet.
When your feet have soaked for about 15 minutes, you can take a pumice stone or an emery board to the dead skin. Very gently, use the stone to slough away the hardened patch. Always remember to move in one direction. If you feel any pain, be sure to stop. If this method isn’t working to remove the rough patches, and you are experiencing discomfort, you need to get a doctor’s help. One thing you should never attempt to do is cut off the corn or callus by yourself.
